Imalai Cristina Castro is a literacy educator with nearly a decade of experience in early elementary education across San Francisco and New York City. A native New Yorker, she brings the energy, grit and high expectations of the city that raised her to every classroom and session she leads.

Currently serving as the Grades 2–3 English Literacy Teacher at Presidio Knolls School, a Mandarin immersion progressive independent school in San Francisco, she works at the intersection of rigorous academic instruction, inquiry-based learning, and genuine love for each child's growth as a thinker, a reader and a person.

She holds a B.A. in Communications with a minor in Advanced Writing from Le Moyne College in Syracuse, New York.
